Cinnamon Drink

 I LOVE Cinnamon water.

(or Cinnamon drink, Cinnamon tea or whatever you like to call this!)

It has this natural sweetness that is pleasant and doesn't linger on your palate. I first had this drink in a Korean restaurant and always wanted to have this at home as much as I want! 

That is why when I make it I like to make it in a large pot and store in the fridge. It is super easy to make. 

As we all know cinnamon has a lot of health benefits, there are even more reasons to drink this yummy stuff. But... don't drink too much! One time, I think I've consumed way too much and it made me absolutely tired. I'm wondering if that was the effect of low blood sugar levels?? No matter what it was, too much of anything is not a good thing for your health. (Even too much water!)

Cinnamon is said to have weigh loss effects but its not a magic pill. However if you are curious about the benefits you can read more about that here

They mention about benefits such as, lowering your bad cholesterol levels, anti-inflamatory, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-carcinogenic properties, 

Some recipes add honey to this but in my opinion, I think it tastes better with just pure cinnamon and water! Enjoy!

Cinnamon Drink

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, put the cinnamon sticks with room temperature water and start the fire.
  2. Once the water starts to boil, turn off the fire and let the cinnamon simmer in the hot water till it cools down. That may take a few hours.
  3. Pour the cinnamon water into a container and chill in the refrigerator. Serve cold and enjoy!
