At Foodcraft we are mostly plant based and focus on the highest quality of animal products as much as possible. 
Why? 
Because, animals are at the top of the food chain and they can have concentrated levels of toxin if not grown the right way. The issue with many organic or free range poultry farming is there is no natural land habitat for chickens to be a chicken. And if they do, 99% of them still use the fast growing industrial breed which no longer is suitable for natural habitats. 

Hungarian Red Master Chicken
This slow-growing chicken is allowed to take double the time to reach maturity as most commercial, fast growing factory breeds - even free-range and organic varieties of poultry. The Red Master, raised by the Barany family, one of the oldest poultry farming families in Hungary, is allowed to roam in both woodland and pasture, emulating the natural grazing habits of their ancient ancestor, the jungle fowl.
Feeding on grass, soil and insects under open skies, the Red Master is supplemented by local grains and has rich tasting meat high in Omega 3 fatty acids. 
With all the nutrients absorbed, the Red Master Chicken makes an amazing nursing chicken bone broth.

Why Bone Broth?
Bone broth is made by simmering the bones and connective tissue of animals. This highly nutritious stock is commonly used in soups, sauces, and gravies. It has also recently gained popularity as a health drink.

For thousands of years, various types of bone broths were used in different cultures to nourish and heal. There may not be scientific evidence to back how these remedies but there must be a good reason why these recipes have been passed down. 

Bone broth claims that are known for its nutrients that may help with:

  • Better digestion and gut health from the support of the released glutamine regulating the gut bacteria.
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Improving joint health from the collagen
  • May support weight loss
  • Improving the quality of sleep from the glycine released 

Why do bone broths help us heal? 
It has to do with the healing composites like collagen, glutamine, and glycine that are released during the cooking process.
We also need to remember that when the bone, marrow, and connective tissues are boiled down, essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, and silicon are released into the broth which we can assimilate better than just chewing a bone!

How to use? 

  • Open the jar and heat up in a pot. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste and sip on it!
  • Add more ingredients to it and make a hearty meal soup or stew.
  • Make gravy sauces.
  • Use as a flavor base for cooking grains and legumes such as risotto, quinoa, beans to boost the nutrition and flavor. 
  • Add a bit to your stir fried vegetables to add flavor and nutrients.

Shipments over $700HKD is free of charge. Any orders that do not meet the minimum will be 100HKD for home delivery. 'Pick-up' option is not displayed online. You can contact our Customer Service for possible arrangements. Please send us a WhatsApp with your order number on +852 5539 0014 to let us know if you would like to collect your order from our store.

*Please make sure you order your items in advance (especially fresh kitchen products such as breads, yogurts, kefir, etc.) for our Team to ensure production. Fresh kitchen items are not available in-store, we bake-to-order and produce them fresh in the morning on delivery to ensure quality!

**Any orders that do not meet the minimum threshold will be charged 100HKD for door to door delivery**

As you are checking out, please select your date of delivery. If you do not select a delivery date (and automatically checkout through the systems) we will assume you want your products delivered as soon as possible and the earliest delivery route will be assigned to your order. As our products are baked fresh in the mornings, deliveries all take place in the afternoon.

Delivery on demand:
This convenient service is now available for you to employ! With just an additional $80, you are in control of the delivery schedule by selecting any 2-hour timeframe between 10am-8pm (10-12am, 4-6pm, etc.)
