Description: 

We all know that brown rice is a better option than white rice. Brown rice is the least processed form of the rice grain that we can consume and it still has the hulls and brains which makes it a 'wholefood', unlike white rice. This keeps the rice grain richer in fiber, protein, thiamine, calcium, magnesium, potassium etc., and also keeps its Glycemic Index low when it’s digested in our bodies, which makes it a better option for those who are on low sugar diets.

In addition brown rice is a better source of selenium, manganese, Anti-Oxidants than white rice. 

It’s a gluten-free option for those on a gluten-free diet as well!

Suggested Uses: Brown rice can play a great part of a plant-based diet and it can simply replacewhite rice in most recipes.  You can sprout the rice for 30 - 60 minutes (by soaking it in water). Rinse well before use in order to remove the naturally occurring phytic acid.  Cook it the same way as white rice (in a rice cooker or in a pot) and serve as it is or mix with vegetables as a rice salad.
