We will learn about the building blocks of curry so that you feel confident mixing and matching to make your own! 

- the spices - whole vs powdered
- ⁠the alliums - ginger / garlic / onions - pastes-diced/pureed/chopped
- ⁠fresh coconut vs coconut milk
And how the different preparations of ingredients will affect the taste of the curry

We will then make 3 curries with 3 different kinds of bases/gravy from
different regions of India to showcase the variety of ‘curry’

Using our spice knowledge from part 1 to the next level.

We will learn the building blocks of how to make a flavourful curry from scratch and how they can be used to make endless varieties!


We will be making 3 different types of curries:

-Foundational Tomato Onion base
-South Indian Coconut Milk based 
-North Indian Nut & Dairy base
all made with seasonal vegetables.

With just +100HKD, you can bring along your domestic helper on a work visa. Please inform us once you confirmed your booking, arrangements can be made accordingly. (to observe only)

Aditi Jhaveri


Entrepreneur and self-made chef Aditi has cooked Indian food her whole life. Looking for healthier and modern twists to traditional recipes, she started @eatdarlingeathk in 2019 and has since delivered hundreds of healthy lunch box meals to clients - deliveries available anywhere between North Point and Kennedy Town.

While vegan cooking is not a staple of Aditi's cooking, she combines traditional meat marinades to various plant-based proteins to introduce you to exciting flavours and textures!
