Make your own healthy snack using CHICKPEAS!
We want to introduce to you a very healthy food - CHICKPEAS!
Chickpeas, also called garbanzo bean, most commonly look round and beige.They were cultivated originally in Mediterranean and the Middle East, and later on, spread to the world over. Now, they are the featured dishes in Italy, Greek, Spain, India, and more.
Why should you not miss it?
Chickpeas are well-known for their high protein and fibre content. This helps promote satiety and reduce your appetite. High fibre content is also proved essential to losing weight as well as preventing constipation and promoting regularity for a healthy digestive tract.
One Serving Idea - Spicy Chickpea Snack
Ingredients
680 g | Chickpea (Boiled) |
3 tbsp. | Sunflower Oil |
1 tbsp. | Cumin Powder |
1 tsp. | Garlic Powder |
1 tsp. | Chili Powder |
1 tsp. | Himalayan Crystal Salts |
1 tsp. | Black Pepper (Crushed) |
Instructions
1. Pre-heat the oven to 175C/ 345C. Prepare a tray with non-stick baking paper/sheet.
2. Drain the boiled chickpeas and mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.
3. Evenly spread the chickpeas onto the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
4. When baked, serve in a bowl! This can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days.
*It will get hard so it will taste better on the day it was baked.
CAUTION: ADDICTIVE!!! You'll crave beer! XD
Umm..Feeling lazy? Try this, only 4 ingredients but it's again Dangerously addictive!
Ingredients
250 g | Chickpeas (Raw) |
3 tbsp. | Sunflower Oil |
1.5 tsp. | Himalayan Crystal Salts |
1 branch | Fresh Rosemary |
Instructions
1. Soak the chickpeas overnight, rinse well and boil for 2 hours. Drain the water (Don't discard! It makes a good soup base!) and put the chickpeas in a medium bowl.
2. Pre-heat the oven to 175C/ 345C. Prepare a tray with non-stick baking paper/sheet.
3. Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.Make sure you remove the rosemary leaves from the stem and only use the fresh leaves.
4. Evenly spread the chickpeas onto the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
5. When baked, serve in a bowl! This can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days. It will get hard so it will taste better on the day it was baked.
