Foodcraft was started as a cooking class by Japanese Raw food chef and founder, Shima Shimizu. She has grown Foodcraft from selling homemade vegan coconut yogurts, sprouted nuts and healthy no white sugar snacks to an online store providing over 2000 hand curated products, with a strict criteria of focusing on overall well-being for busy Hong Kongers.
Today, Foodcraft has grown to an all-woman team that are passionate about preparing real food from scratch that satisfies our taste buds and digests easier in our gut.
Foodcraft celebrates its seventh year in business and continues to grow with the support of its local community. Based in Kennedy Town, Foodcraft celebrates another year of providing locally baked and cooked items to customers supporting each other through these hard and uncertain times.

Cooking at home from scratch is the best way to health. But we know not all of us have that luxury of time and space. We believe good health enables greater, passion-filled lives and want to contribute to good food decision making and healthier communities.
Since launching in 2016, Foodcraft has never lost track of its mission: to provide wholesome 'real food' made in small batches for you that is both tasty and nourishing.
In times when the concept of "healthy" is so diverse from low sugar to high-fat, from plant-based to bone broths, at Foodcraft we believe in diversity and the most important thing is to avoid ultra processed foods and stick to traditional, good ol' "real foods" made in small batches. And that is what we do.
We believe that gut health is everything and that one cannot address health without it.
We specialise in gluten-free, dairy-free, white sugar-free, low-sugar, additives-free, preservatives-free, allergy-free, plant-based alternative foods, all of which help create a healthier microbiome.
Be open to 'least processed' foods
As we work hard to create products that retain much of their nutritive value, they might not look like ‘highly processed’ foods that can sit on the supermarket shelves for 2+ years.

Look less colorful - because we do not use any artificial coloring
Taste a bit different each time - because each batch is made with real ingredients and there is no same apple on the tree
At Foodcraft, flavour and ingredients are never compromised. (As a bonus, your body will thank you for making wise choices!) We believe if you don’t recognise an ingredient, your body won’t either, so we handpick ours with purpose - only including things that nourish you.
