Organic Premium Assam Tea for Kombucha - 60g
A high grade organic Assam tea, these leaves are great for brewing black tea and Kombucha. Brewing Kombucha requires real tea for nutrients (minerals and nitrogen) for the well-being of the SCOBY. The tea used will also affect the flavour of your Kombucha - and we love this one.
If you are new to Kombucha brewing, it is important to avoid flavoured teas (such as Earl Grey). This tea is a simple black tea, organic and free of chemical contaminants and great for your SCOBY. Other teas that are good for Kombucha brewing will be green tea, white tea, oolong tea, or a even mix of the different teas.
Step 1: Boil Water
Boil water to 100 °C for the best flavor - full body of flavor will come out at this temperature.
Step 2: Steep Leaves
Pour the hot water over the leaves and allow them to steep for at least 5 minutes. For Kombucha brewing you can steep the teas for a longer time. We like to keep brewing it in the hot water till it cools down.
Step 3: Flavor as Desired
Add warm milk/mylk and sweetener of choice.
