Romanesco also called Roman cauliflower. It has a very unique shape and the flavor is sweet and nutty. Romanesco is from the Brassica family which is the same as cauliflower, kale, broccoli and cabbage.
This vegetable is from Northern Italy and is available from spring to fall.
How to eat Romanesco?
Romanesco can be eaten both cooked or raw. Wash well and cut into bite size. When boiling, its the best to lightly cook (1-2minutes) so that is doesn't loose its beautiful color and structure.
